if i were to feed raw, how would i?
not so much for the 7 assorted rescue pups that are up for adoption, but for my house pack would it be practical?
Jake: 12 yrs old, 100 lbs. bernese/lab x. no tolerance for moisture in his food. and 5 lbs over weight. he was 50 lbs overweight.
Rocky: 8 yrs, 100 lbs. ridge back/mastiff x. 30 lbs overweight. (working on it)
Zeus: 4 1/2, 80 lbs. malamute x.
Missy: 1 yr, 12 lbs. terrier/doxie x.
Rambo: 7 mths, 24 lbs. beagle/JRT x (?).
i’ve been feeding CANIDAE with some Eagle Pack Holistic mixed in. and my malumute is really hard to keep weight on so sometimes i mix a can of Merrick in with his food.
my biggest reason for what i feed is that it’s a quality food that i can feed to all (including the rescue pups) and it’s only a matter of measurements.
so would it be practical to start feeding raw? and if i were, would it be ok for Jake? and how do i figure the measurements?
one more thing! Rocky gets very gassy with beef.
you can still feed kibble…and RAW but not on teh same days, it wont agree with them
I feed Wellness Core and RAW (3-4) times a week, I find that I save more money when doing this
RAW is only around $30 a month for me… 4 good sized dogs are well fed
