thumbprint cookie and peppermint bark 2 questions?
for thumbprint cookies recipe says chopped hazelnuts, almonds, pecans or walnuts. bought peanuts this work or I get recommended? If so what type? i looked recipie said this "The only difference is that since chocolate is not tempered, homemade peppermint bark must be stored in the refrigerator "and add the oil Now this is true because the recipe I first saw never said this. I'm making a mini loaf of bread, peppermint bark, melting moments, w thumbprint cookies jam / and trufles. I must add another thing is this and if so, what? these will all be wrapped in a dish of our family vacation photo as a gift
In my opinion peanuts are not enough especially for a "cookie" fingerprint Christmas. I love them with nuts. I've never had to keep my mint crust in the refrigerator. Nor have I added oil. Use candy Wilton melts. They are wonderful. The selections of lovely sound. Just be warned to leave a peppermint bark peppermint flavor all other baked goods the oven if it may be stored together. If you wish, to keep them in a plastic bag or cellophane. Good luck! Looks like you're having fun!
