Italian Cookies ……. seem lil donuts without holes … a bit like the texture pounds lemon-flavored cake …. pastry glazed lemon flavored also Pizzella ….. no, no cookies ……. AllRecipes i tried. com and I can not solve it …. have some in a deli … I would do it myself !
It could be one like this: Italian Lemon Cookies 1 cup granulated sugar 1 / 2 cup shortening 6 large eggs 1 teaspoon lemon extract 4 cups all-purpose flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 1 / 8 teaspoon salt 2 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease baking sheet; aside. In a large bowl cream sugar and butter. Stir in eggs and lemon extract, beat until light and fluffy. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture and mix well. Roll the dough into 3/4-inch balls and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool. In a medium bowl with electric mixer, beat powdered sugar with lemon juice to the need to make a frosting spreads. Spread on cooled cookies. Makes 36 cookies. This and others are in cooksrecipes.com.
