quick and easy recipe for meatballs in my ….? slow cooker
I'm making sweet and sour meatballs for lunch Saturday and their first time making meatballs. There goes about 30 people I guess … Someone has something with a little extra umph to it?
Since lunch and non-dinner you'll probably want to make small meatballs. Ingredients 2 pounds lean ground beef 2 eggs 1 cup bread crumbs 1 / 2 cup finely chopped onion 1 / 2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon seasoning salt 1 / 2 teaspoon black pepper 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons granulated sugar 1 (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained, juice reserved 1 / 3 cup water 3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 / 2 cup brown sugar 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1 / 2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 / 2 teaspoon seasoning salt 1 large carrot, 1 chopped green bell pepper, cut into 1 / 2 inch Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a large, shallow baking dish. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs and onion. Sprinkle with ginger, seasoning salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and sugar. Form a ball of an inch. Place meatballs in a single layer on baking sheet and prepared. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes a side. To prepare the sauce, mix with enough water reserved pineapple juice to make 1 cup. In a large pot over medium heat, combine the mixture of juice, 1 / 3 cup water, vinegar, soy sauce and brown sugar. Add the cornstarch, ginger and seasoning salt, until soft. Cover and cook until thickened. Bits Stir pineapple, carrot, green pepper and meatballs in the sauce. Stir gently to coat meatballs with sauce. Simmer, uncovered, for about 20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked. That recipe sounds very good for me. You can change the seasonings at all depending on your taste. And remember that sticks!
