How to invent a Saucy Party
It's that time of year when the hosts to turn their thoughts to the issues of parties celebrating everything from your favorite college or professional football game and Super Bowl parties to Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays, and celebrations of All other World Holidays during this holiday season.
We at the I-ShopTheWorld are what we might call "party people" and we have some party idea suggestions that add variety and flavor to your party: host a Chili Cook-off outright.
Compile the guest list so you can create teams of 3-6 cooks. In your invitation let your guests know that will participate in a Chili Cook-off and will be on your computer (it has a little extra fun and even mix up). Ask them to bring a special ingredient to use in chile, but know that everything that could probably be provided around the world will begin with a batch of chile base are prepared in advance. Then they can spice it up. Be sure to arrange for enough pots and utensils for Each team has its own. Tell them BYOA (bring your own apron).
Here's how it works: The day before his party to prepare a large batch of chile sauce Start with your choice of basic ingredients. Here is a recipe. We suggest you multiply the ingredients to accommodate the number of teams has organized a batch of salsa strong starter.
Basic recipe chile sauce to serve six
• 1 pound lean ground beef or ground beef into pieces the size a snack
• 1 / 2 cup chopped onion
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, tomato puree or
• 1 / 2 teaspoon chile powder
• 1 teaspoon salt (regular or garlic)
Preparation:
Spray skillet with nonstick cooking spray or a light coat of oil like olive oil. Brown the ground beef or ground beef with onion. Add remaining ingredients stirring as you go. Note, not adding beans at this point, your guest cooks get to do that. Cover and simmer for at least 20 minutes. Refrigerate until game time.
On the day of the party, pick up an equal amount of chile sauce base for each team, then we invite you to complete the cooking by adding any of the following ingredients that will be available in any amounts that I prefer:
• cooked ground pork gold
• pre-cooked sausage
• canned beans including kidney, chili, black, cannelloni, and pinto
• cans of vegetarian refried beans with chiles
• cans tomato sauce or whole tomatoes with and without chiles
• cans of whole kernel corn
• fresh tomatoes
• fresh red, green, yellow and sweet peppers
• fresh jalapeno peppers
• fresh squash and zucchini
• Garlic powder
• paprika
• natural fresh black pepper, white pepper, spices, dried peppers, spices and long pepper in India
• an assortment of gourmet Tortuga sauces, such as Sweet Heat Caribbean Sauté ginger and mango, Caribbean hot pepper, and hot hellfire pepper sauce.
• jars of Tortuga Gourmet Wildflower and Citrus Honey
Give each team a couple of hours to finish the cook-off, then perform the competition like and let your guests vote on the best. If you get a wow! Winner, consider that the team try again for charity, presuming they have kept track of their ingredients and can repeat the taste (check a look at those opportunities title = "http://www.chilicookoff.com" target = "_blank" http://www.chilicookoff.com>).
Consider the possibility of serving other ShopTheWorld I-like Thai coffee and tea. Treat your guest cooks to beverages made with Tortuga Rum Punch Mix. And do not forget dessert, they'll be too busy doing the chile base and organization of equipment and components, which may want to serve a tray of Tortuga Gourmet Fudge range balls, rum or rum cakes.
Go ahead, do it.
Tell everyone to "pen" on the date, start organizing the details and order Online.
Whether I-ShopTheWorld help make the sauciest part of your family and friends have had.
