Help!! I need a dairy free cookie dough recipe?
I need a cookie dough recipe to make my son cookies. He has multiple food allergies so the recipe must be free of the following:
all dairy (including butter/margerine)
shortening (why this makes him break out I dkn, but it does)
These cookies will be cut out with cookie cutters (we got cool new Halloween ones that we are excited about). Thanks for all of your help, I have looked all over online and found nothing.
Simple Sugar Cookies
Ingredients (use vegan versions):
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 egg replacer
cinnamon and sugar for coating
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix wet ingredients in measuring cup (make sure they’re blended well). Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Using hands, form dough into a big ball. (If it sticks together well, then its the right consistency. If not, then add a bit of water and mix it well.)
Form dough into cookie sized balls and roll into cinnamon vegan sugar mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each ball a little bit. Bake at 375 degrees for about 7 minutes.
Makes about 18 cookies (depending on how much dough you eat before you bake them!)
Preparation time: 15 min
Light and sweet, these easy rollout sugar cookies will please any guest and make a great hostess gift for holiday parties. These are soft, crisp, and won’t break in the mail.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup Margarine (get vegan margarine)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 large egg replacement
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Granulated sugar
Directions:
Mix powdered sugar, margarine, vanilla, almond extract, and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients except granulated sugar. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet lightly with lactose-free vegetable oil spray.
Roll dough about 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and place on cookie sheet. Refrigeraate cookies on sheet for a few minutes before baking.
Bake 7-8 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove from cookie sheet to cool.
