Anyone have a good recipe for marinara sauce?
I've had people tell me that refers to all Italian red sauces, but has a distinct flavor that I love that is different from pasta sauce only average. I have not been able to pinpoint what are the additional ingredients. If you understand what I mean by taste different, please share the recipe with me. I would like to make it from scratch. Thanks!
Ahaaaa. You have good taste buds. That distinct flavor sauce in real time marinara sauce is pureed carrots or (believe it or not). Carrots more the stronger the flavor. That's what makes it so different. However, I will try to find a recipe for you from my wide selection of cookbooks. If I had an e-mail would be easier to find again if this request goes While prescription both find a recipe online which has mashed carrots in it. These days people call salsa all "fishing" and not true. I miss the marinara sauce myself. Pastene I "used" to make it back in the 1960's and perhaps the 70 (which was excellent), but I have not seen in decades. My email is: ponyexpress14mailbox-breezy@yahoo.com
