traditional christmas lunch recipes
can someone give me some ideas for easter dinner?

do you have a special recipe….or idea that you could share with me…other than the traditional ham/turkey….I am having a few people over for easter lunch/dinner and would like to have something a bit different…thanks…I was thinking..lasagna but my sister makes that for christmas…got any ideas…thanks a bunch..

I had some fish in the freezer one year, then had bought oysters to fry. We like fish so I had shrimp, spot, etc. Then I found out that I was going to have guests for Easter. Well, we had bluefish, spot, fried oysters, shrimp, orange roughy and I think a little salmon. I ran out real quick and bought some cole slaw and potato salad, made some cocktail sauce with horseradish while my husband threw together a garden salad while mom made ice tea, coffee and lemonade.

My guests were delighted and one made the comment “How appropriate, I’ve heard of ham, lamb, turkey, but never thought of fish! Christ took a few fish and fed the multitude, He told the fishermen to drop their nets on the other side of the boat and they couldn’t hardly pull in the catch.” She also mentioned the statement of “fisher of men”.

She still talks about still today, after at least 10 years.
