pasta recipes kielbasa
Can you help me decide and give me a tried and true recipe for 2 meals?

Too many choices to make a meal…so please help if you can give me a recipe that would be greatly appreciated…..Things I have……..

Meats:
Pork Chops,Hamburger, small steaks (tough),chicken and sausage (like kielbasa type), bacon

Refrigeratables
Milk, eggs, butter, yogurt, cream cheese,

LOTS of spices

Carbos:
Rice, Potatoes (raw and boxed kind), Mac and cheese, and Pasta

Veggies
Canned green beans, carrots, peas, yams, asparagus and corn
Frozen broccoli, cauliflower, chinese mixed veggies, and yellow squash
Fresh lettuce,tomato,onions,carrots,

Cottage Pie

*Brown hamburger meat (add Worcestershire sauce if you have it) ***(I was assuming hamburger meant ground beef/chuck)***
*Boil peas and carrots until cooked thoroughly
*Make mashed potatoes
*Layer in casserole pan: Hamburger-Veggies-Potatoes (potatoes = 1 inch thick) (you can even add more mashed potatoes on the bottom so you have Potatoes-Hamburger-Veggies-Potatoes).
*Make ruffles in the top of the mashed potatoes with a fork to cause certain parts to brown more
*Bake at 350F for about 15 minutes until the top of the potatoes starts to brown a little

***Alternate way to finish: don’t bother with ruffles in potatoes and add cheese to the top and cook 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted (and even starting to brown if you like).

Chicken and Broccoli Mac and Cheese

*Bring water to a boil and add broccoli to water
*Add Macaroni noodles when the water returns to a boil and cook until done.
*Take chicken (cut into bite-size pieces) and fry in a frying pan with a little oil until cooked through… you can add some teriyaki sauce for flavoring if you have it.
*Drain Mac and Cheese and add cheese packet/ prepare if its the powdered kind (though the powdered kind does not work as well).
*Add chicken to macaroni and cheese and broccoli and stir together.
*Add toasted sesame seeds if you desire (toast them in a small frying pan for a few minutes until they start to brown).

Simple Pork chops

*Season with Rosemary and Thyme and fry in frying pan about 5 minutes on each side (dont forget to put a little oil in pan first)
*Boil/ steam your squash… or you can even pan-fry with a little Balsamic Vinegar if you have that. Season with salt and pepper when done.
*Serve with either potatoes or rice

Chicken stir-fry

*In wok or large skillet add oil (peanut/olive/canola) and heat on medium high heat until oil starts to smoke, and add chicken. Stir fry about 5 minutes (constantly tossing after letting the chicken brown a little).
*Add Chinese Veggies and stir-fry for a few minutes until cooked but still crisp (constantly tossing)
*Add some sort of sauce (even if only soy sauce)
*Serve over rice

***Additional option: instead of serving over rice you can prepare noodles (spaghetti/ angel hair/ vermicelli/ or any other thin round noodle) as you would normally, only leaving them a little undercooked and adding them to the stir-fry when you add the sauce to finish cooking.

Well there are some ideas… I hope you enjoy.
